Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV)
The Section 8 Housing Program is a popular program where HADCO pays a portion of the rent directly to a landlord on behalf of the participant. HADCO currently has 641 Family Choice Vouchers and 111 VASH Vouchers (for Veterans) available for Douglas County residents. There is a waitlist for this program. Interested families are asked to complete a pre-application and turn in verification of Social Security Numbers to get placed on the wait list. There is no preferences for applicants. Everyone is placed on the wait list by the date and time of their pre-application. Once an applicant has reached the top of the wait list they will be contacted for a more detailed application along with required income and asset verifications. Interested families can apply through this web site, by mailing in an application or by coming to our administrative office located at 1000 W. Stanton Street, Roseburg, OR 97471.
